Meet Justin Griffith, a wordsmith that grew up in DeSoto, just south of Dallas. His journey into writing began at the age of 12, a therapeutic dance with emotion that was a personal and sacred affair, shielded from prying eyes. What started as a clandestine rendezvous with poetry eventually blossomed into lyricism intended for public consumption. Although his entire life has been dedicated to music, a step into the realm of authorship was no surprise. It may even suit him better these days. His love affair with storytelling and the rhythmic cadence of hip-hop colors the lens he pens through. There is a need there, an addiction to ink.
Daily Dos (my two cents) is his second book.
Past Presents Future is his first book.

Some of Griffith's poems read like songs, others like autobiographical stories, a few like confessions, several like epiphanies of the soul. Intertwining the dark & light, victory & defeat, addiction & freedom, passion & heartbreak. Balancing deep and brainy, without being incomprehensible. We survived yesterday and are here today, preparing for tomorrow. Past Presents Future is a collection of three eras - what was, what is, and what will be. Author Justin Griffith, also known as songwriter and performer Grades Of Absolute Truth, has a love for hip-hop that you can feel in his poetic metrics. You may even hear his southern drawl in your head while reading, courtesy of Dallas, Texas. Entries are accompanied by powerful imagery - B&W photos from Justin and a few of his favorite photographers.
